So, now that the weather has warmed up (actually, it’s already sweltering), we decided it was time to see if the girls would take to the water. Well, they took to it like little fishies. Here they are trying out the pool for the first time with Grandma and Auntie Josie and then again with their dad and Pop Pop Sozio on Easter Sunday. Violet is super thrilled by this new activity. I think Iris might just be in it for the cute outfits…
In case we can’t get online this Sunday, we just wanted to wish all of our loved ones a very blessed and happy Easter.

Recently, John & I were finally able to see the professional photographs that we had taken of the girls by photographer Stephanie Anders. Ours lives were so hectic after the girls were born that we never had a chance to have those precious newborn photos taken, so I really wanted to document them in all their beautiful baby glory before they turned one year old.
Let me begin by saying that this photo shoot was supposed to take place during a couple hours on a Sunday morning. However, due to mild weather issues and severe crankiness issues, this shoot extended over to 3 very, very long weekends.Â
The girls were terrible subjects who refused to cooperate (though they did enjoy eating dried leaves). John & I were becoming increasingly exasperated. The photographer – though wearing her best game face – must have been at her wit’s end. I was holding out little hope that there would be any decent shots as a result of this whole exercise.
So, you could imagine my surprise when Stephanie’s gallery of images was absolutely FULL of gorgeous, breathtaking photographs of the girls. I was left speechless – in the best possible way.
We are so thrilled with the results that we just have to post some of our favorites for you to enjoy.

Even with a fever, Violet looks as beautiful as ever.
102.5 last night, 100.1 today. Getting better, but she is going to see the doctor later just to make sure everything is okay.
